"The improved relations between ZC and HSC are very good for cricket in Zimbabwe but given the fragility of the partnership Zimbabwe Cricket has become increasingly unwilling to pour its limited resources into maintenance at HSC. Unfortunately the lack of financial injection is showing in a big way. The legal battles over the previous decade highlighted something very important to ZC- Harare Sports Club is not their property. This realisation ultimately played a large role in ZC pushing ahead with plans to build its own ground in Victoria Falls"
