"Dont fear the robot. Ask your surgeon how many robotic surgeries for this indication they have done. Robotic surgery is still very new at many centers and experience is important. If your surgeon isnt planning to use the robot there may be a good reason. There are several scenarios where the robot can actually hinder and interfere with the speed and precision of surgery and I prefer to do these cases laparoscopically.
