"Where is the line drawn between a hatchback and a wagon Is the most important factor the number of doors or possibly overall length or cargo space In our discussion we determined the number of pillars (A B C D) are the most important factor in making a wagon or a hatch. To be a wagon a car must have a D pillar. This led us to conclude the famous BMW Clownshoe is still a hatchback (extra points to those who noted shooting brake) and the Bugeyes D pillar at the rear hatch pushes it solidly into wagon territory. Do I need a Catch Can or an AOS The Positive Crankcase Ventilation system (PCV system) connects the crankcase to your engines air intake system. If you see signs that oil vapor is working its way through the PCV system and getting to the turbos air inlet installing a Catch Can or Air Oil Separator is the best way to capture that oil before it can get into the engine. In the Subaru community the Twin-Scroll turbo configuration that was used on the JDM STI starting with the Version [--] STI is considered the ideal turbo setup. There are a couple of reasons for this. The main one is that a twin-scroll turbo uses an equal length manifold and it splits the exhaust pulses up into [--] completely separate sets of pipes all the way into the turbo. "From [----] all the way to [----] all STI's had a final drive of 3.9:1. But there were two different rear differential ring and pinion ratios used. And for the WRX most of them also had a 3.9:1 final drive as well up to [----] (the [--] and [--] WRX had a 3.7:1 final drive) and they also used two different rear R&P ratios used. The one that has caused the most confusion through the years is the [-----] R&P ratio and in this video we want to explain what it is and how it still gives a 3.9:1 final drive.
